Belleville, IL - The picturesque community of Belleville, Illinois, located just 20 minutes east of St. Louis, became the county seat of St. Clair County in 1814. A strong French and German heritage is exemplified in the variety of architectural styles and diverse neighborhoods. A wonderful selection of cafes and gourmet dining establishments offer a taste of many cultures for business lunches, family occasions and banquets.
Many of the restaurants participate in festivals and special events such as the annual Strawberry Festival in May, the deutschfest in June, the Oktoberfest and Apple Knock'en Days in September, Chili Cook-Off and Pumpkin Pick'en days in October and Gingerbread Walk in November and December.
